Today, I listened to an inspiring podcast featuring the Egyptian entrepreneur Mohamed Aboulnaga, a passionate software enthusiast and a bold risk-taker. His ideas fascinated me, but I felt an inner conflict—why am I not like him? These thoughts triggered questions about my own sense of self-satisfaction.
Mohamed spoke about his unconventional perspective on money; he doesn’t love money or keep it, which is the complete opposite of how I feel. I admit, I love money so much that I struggle to spend it, even on beneficial things. Perhaps this attachment prevents me from taking bold steps like Mohamed did.
What caught my attention was his point about bringing in experts for specific tasks, acknowledging that he would fail as a manager if he tried to do everything himself. This made me reflect on leadership—do I need to be an expert in everything, or should I learn to delegate and trust others?
He also emphasized the importance of staying aligned with emerging trends, like artificial intelligence. I can’t afford to be out of the loop while the world moves forward. Even if I'm not ready to dive in now, I can treat these trends as side tasks to enhance my skills.
The pressing question is: Is money everything in life, or is it just a means to achieve deeper goals? How can I use money to advance professionally and personally? Maybe what I need is not to become an entrepreneur, but rather to redefine my relationship with money and see it as a tool, not a goal.
